With gas prices on the rise around the world and having people coming from around the world, we thought it was a nice idea to give everybody a bit of a perspective on current gasp(p)rices from the home-towns of some of our guests.
Akron/Canton, OH - $2.89
Cleveland, OH - $2.89
Toronto: $.99 CAD/L = $3.61 USD
Grand Rapids, MI - $3.19 USD
Oshkosh, WI - $3.29 USD
Minneapolis, MN- $3.04 USD
Stamford, CT - $3.08
Helmond, The Netherlands - 1.39 Euros/Liter = $7.23/gallon
As you can see, even the highest US gas prices aren't even half of what they pay in the Netherlands. With roughly the same pay and house-prices that are double to triple what they are in the US it gives us something to think about the next time we're complaining about high prices here in the US.
Note that pretty much all major gas-companies offer an EXCELLENT money-back program now. It's called: stocks...
Cheers!

You _have_ to tell me where gas is $3.08 in Stamford - I can't find it for less than ~$3.35 around here!
